I’m Luke Hermida, founder of Hermida Technologies. I design software, automation, AI-assisted workflows, and connected systems around the way businesses actually operate—not around the limitations of generic tools. My goal is technology that feels calm on the surface and exceptionally capable underneath.

My approach is practical: reduce unnecessary compute, extend the useful life of hardware, keep operations paperless by default, and design software that does not waste people’s time or infrastructure. These are working practices—not claims of zero impact.

No greenwashing.

Software and cloud infrastructure still consume energy. I’ll describe current practices honestly, measure more as the work grows, and publish specific progress only when it can be supported.

AI should strengthen human judgment—not quietly replace it.

I build AI-assisted systems with a clear boundary: software can organize, summarize, detect patterns, and draft useful next steps, while people retain authority over access, approvals, communication, and consequential decisions. Privacy, explainability, and restraint are product features, not footnotes added after launch.
